With a background in mental health counseling, Rach’l brings a unique perspective to her role. “Buying or selling a home is a huge financial and emotional process,” she explains. “I use my counseling skills to help clients sort through their wants, needs, and emotions, guiding them through this big decision.”

Betty’s journey began years earlier, inspired by her father’s work in land development. After working in the Olympia School District, she felt the need for a change and decided to try her hand in real estate. She quickly discovered a passion for the work and the people it connected her with. Betty cherishes Tumwater for its beautiful acreage, wonderful neighborhoods, great school and its special family history. She also loves the Westside, where she has lived for 40 years and raised her children, noting the close-knit community and unique neighborhoods there.

Rach’l also holds Tumwater Hill close to her heart, where her children participate in community sports. “There’s something truly special about the Tumwater community,” she says. Living on Tumwater Hill, Rach’l feels connected to both her family roots and the incredible outdoors of Capitol Forest and nearby water activities.

Life Beyond Real Estate

Outside the office, family time is central to Betty and Rach’l’s lives. Rach’l stays busy with her four children’s sports and is a devoted Seahawks fan, enjoying Sunday games with family. She and Betty also share a passion for reading and travel, even planning trips inspired by their favorite books.

For Betty, weekends are all about her grandkids and their activities, and she shares the passion for travel with Rach’l. They take an annual trip to Seabrook for the 4th of July—a tradition that’s become especially meaningful since Rach’l got engaged and married there. Betty’s sense of adventure extends to planning new family trips, from cruises to California getaways.
