Meet the Agent: Tiffany Curtiss
Meet Tiffany Curtiss: A Journey from Chef to Real Estate Agent
Tiffany Curtiss, a real estate agent with Olympic Sotheby’s International Realty, has an inspiring story that led her to the world of real estate. It all started with a love for investment properties. Tiffany began buying homes for herself, viewing each purchase as an opportunity to rent and manage multiple units. This entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her own property management company. Soon, friends began seeking her expertise to manage their rentals and find investment properties.
Before becoming an agent, Tiffany ran a successful culinary company. When COVID-19 slowed down her business, her home rental ventures took off, and she found herself drawn to real estate full-time. Reflecting on her journey, Tiffany says, “The hospitality industry taught me a lot about serving people, and how important that is to the overall customer experience.” Her commitment to delivering exceptional service made Olympic Sotheby’s International Realty the perfect fit. Tiffany explains, “If I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it to the best of my ability. Olympic Sotheby’s International Realty’s values of excellence and customer experience resonated with me.”
Favorite Neighborhoods in Olympia
Tiffany has developed a deep appreciation for Olympia’s rich history and beautiful surroundings. She is especially fond of the South Capitol area for it’s charming historic homes. “The rich history in South Capitol makes it one of the most beautiful areas in Olympia,” she says. Tiffany’s love of waterfront living, a nod to her Tacoma roots, draws her to neighborhoods like Boston Harbor and South Bay. She also enjoys exploring Tolmie and Squaxin state parks with her Border Collie, Pepper.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of real estate, Tiffany’s passions are varied. She spends a lot of time with her family in Tacoma, enjoys hiking with her dog, and riding with her fiancé on their Harley. Though Tiffany no longer cooks for work, her passion for food remains. “Now that cooking isn’t my job, I can actually cook for myself!” she says playfully. Whether it’s making fresh pasta or baking for friends, Tiffany loves creating dishes from scratch. Her signature dishes feature whatever is in season – much of which the PNW has a bounty of.
Thurston County’s Hidden Gems
When Tiffany isn’t working or with her family, you might find her enjoying some of Olympia’s lesser-known spots. Samayra Coffee Co. for an afternoon pick-me-up, Chelsea Farms Oyster Bar, while more well known, is a favorite for a nice dinner, and on gloomy days, she loves the cozy vibes at Sidewalk Café for a sandwich and clam chowder. Tiffany also frequents the downtown artesian well, filling her bottles with what she calls the best-tasting water. When she needs a break from the office, Tumwater Falls is her go-to spot for a peaceful walk through the trails. It’s also a sentimental place for Tiffany, as she got engaged there!
Helping Clients Navigate Their Next Chapter
For Tiffany, helping clients buy or sell their dream home is deeply rewarding. “It sounds cliché, but I love being able to help people navigate some of the most stressful decisions of their lives,” she says. Tiffany’s ability to connect with people on a personal level and guide them through the transaction process is a skill she’s honed throughout her career. This is symbolized in her logo, featuring a pinecone and the tagline “Release What’s Next.” Inspired by the fact that pinecones only release seeds under extreme heat, it represents growth and new opportunities. “I can help clients release what’s holding them back and find incredible opportunities they wouldn’t have considered otherwise,” Tiffany explains.
Community Involvement
Tiffany is deeply involved in the community. She serves on a committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Thurston County, helping organize the “Born to Be Wild” auction, which raises funds to expand the club’s programs. She’s also a member of the Lacey Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Trails Association, reflecting her passion for supporting accessible trails for all.
Tiffany’s previous careers have shaped her into the empathetic, strategic, and service-oriented real estate agent she is today. “I think my background allows me to see beyond what’s right in front of people,” she shares. Her ability to connect authentically with clients and guide them toward their next chapter is what sets her apart in the industry. Want to work with Tiffany to “Release What’s Next”?
