"Reading takes your mind off everything else—it’s a great escape," she says.

Lori’s family is also heavily involved in local sports. Her son coaches high school girls’ basketball, and Lori enjoys attending games and supporting her grandchildren in their own sports activities. For a scenic adventure, Lori recommends a drive up Highway 12 over White Pass, where you can take in breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, and Mt. Adams. "The scenery is beautiful year-round, whether you’re fishing in the summer or skiing in the winter," Lori notes.
