Meet the Agent: Lacey Casciato

Meet Lacey Casciato: A Journey Through Real Estate in the South Sound

With a warm and welcoming approach, Lacey Casciato has become a beloved real estate agent with Olympic Sotheby's International Realty, dedicated to helping clients find their dream homes in Olympia and the South Sound area. Her journey in real estate is one that weaves together family influences, diverse experiences, and a true passion for people and community. Here’s a closer look into Lacey’s story, her favorite places, and what drives her work in the real estate industry.

Beginnings: A Family Legacy in Real Estate

For Lacey, real estate has always been a family affair. She first stepped into the industry at age 15, answering phones in her father’s real estate office. “That was my introduction to the industry,” she shares, “and watching him conduct his business taught me that I really like this industry, and I really like working with different types of people.” Over the years, Lacey continued building her skills, working as an assistant to several agents in Tacoma before returning to Olympia to start her own journey as an agent. Nineteen years later, her love for the field is as strong as ever, and she’s now helping her own clients find or sell their dream homes.

Favorite Neighborhoods: A Blend of City and Country Charm

When it comes to Olympia, Lacey finds it hard to choose just one favorite neighborhood. “I love that in Olympia you can get the ‘country feel’ outside of the city, but we’re close to city life if we want it,” she says. One area she’s especially fond of is around Olympia High School. Nestled close to popular spots like Johnson Point and Steamboat Island, it offers residents a close-knit community feel with easy access to some of Olympia’s beautiful waterways and quiet escapes. It’s a part of what makes Olympia’s neighborhoods so special to her.

Life Beyond Real Estate: Family, Travel, and Community

Outside of real estate, Lacey is a dedicated mom to her 14-year-old son, and their days are filled with sports and school events. Family time is a big part of her life, especially with her parents still living in Olympia. Winters in Washington often inspire Lacey and her family to travel, with Northern California as a frequent destination to escape the cold. She loves the accessibility of Washington’s location, which makes it easy to reach a variety of beautiful spots along the West Coast.

Hidden Gems: Exploring South Chehalis

Asked about her favorite hidden gem, Lacey shines a spotlight on Lewis County, particularly South Chehalis. “It’s so beautiful and quaint,” she says. With its rural charm, convenient proximity to the freeway, and an array of amenities, South Chehalis offers a slower pace of life with easy access to bigger cities like Seattle and Portland. From a real estate perspective, Lacey sees Lewis County as a fast-growing market with great potential for those seeking a peaceful lifestyle that’s not too far removed from city conveniences.

Helping Clients Start a New Chapter

Lacey’s favorite part of her job is the joy of guiding clients through an exciting new chapter in their lives. “I really like the adventure of the ‘new thing’ in their lives,” she explains, adding that she loves the rewarding feeling that comes when clients are ready to make a fresh start. For Lacey, real estate is not just about transactions—it’s about creating meaningful relationships. “I’m a people person,” she shares, “so I love getting to know my clients and maintaining those relationships for years to come.”

Giving Back: Staying Involved in the Community

Lacey believes in giving back to her community and actively participates in organizations that hold special meaning for her. She is involved in Thurston County youth sports, which keeps her connected to her son’s activities and their local community. She also supports Greene Giving, showing her commitment to making a difference in the South Sound area.

For anyone considering working with her, Lacey hopes they’ll feel like they’re working with a friend. Her approachable and trustworthy demeanor helps her clients feel comfortable, confident, and in capable hands. “I like to make people comfortable and build trust with my clients right off the bat,” she says.

If you’re looking for a real estate agent in the South Sound area who values relationships and community and is committed to providing the highest level of service, Lacey Casciato might be just the right fit. With nearly two decades of experience, a love for helping clients start fresh, and deep roots in the Olympia area, she is ready to help you make your next real estate journey one to remember.
