Enjoy summer while still staying safe!

With many of us stuck inside our homes, quarantining for months, most of us are ready to enjoy activities in the summer weather. Luckily, our community has numerous summer activities to offer while still being cautious and following safety guidelines to stay safe. From relaxing with a movie to enjoying the outdoors there is an activity for everyone this summer!

Missing the movie theaters? Look no further because Skyline Drive-In Movie Theater is now open for a fun way to enjoy movies with family and friends from the comfort of your car. Safety is always a priority and with the Drive-In you can social distance and still have fun. There are activities for all ages and with children being eager to get outside and enjoy their favorite activities, Summer Kids in Parks Program (SKIPP) is here to help. SKIPP is now offering half and full day camps to accommodate for every family‚Äôs enjoyment. SKIPP is ran by the City of Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation free of charge. Not only has SKIPP made camps a blast with various activities but they have also made sure that campers are extremely safe. Summer is all about enjoying the weather and taking time to get outdoors. WET science center is taking the time to encourage us all to enjoy nature more by having a different activity every week with tools to keep you interested. WET has a lot to offer from discovering your backyard ecosystem to going on walks with friends.

No matter what summer activity you decide to do its always important to keep updated on the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by our governor and the CDC to keep Thurston County safe.
