Bringing the Fun with Captain Little
Deep in the heart of downtown lies a toy store with all the classics.
Back in 2014, Captain Little took over the old location for Wind Up Here Toys after the community stalwart announced it would be closing its doors.
"The owners of Compass Rose decided that wasn't going to fly," says manager Amy Shepherd. "We needed a toy store in downtown Olympia."
Now, with Captain Little’s vision, the hard work of the staff and management, and so much loyal customer support, Olympia`s community toy store is thriving.
Greene Realty agent Tim Lynch visited the toy store to talk about the fun times he experienced as a child...and how he carries his traditions on with his kids today.
"Growing up here in olympia, you know it is one of the landmarks in Olympia," he says.
One step into the quaint toy store takes you back to the days of interactive toys, and the knowledgeable staff works hard to create an environment for everyone.
"Community is absolutely essential to the work that we do," Amy says. "We provide a really wonderful, heartfelt experience for the young and young at heart in Olympia, and we're really honored that we're able to do that."
