Meet Quint Newell. Quint was born in San Francisco, California and after seven years in New York, he and his wife Kim have found their place here in Olympia. Quint has been working in real estate for a five years, focusing on commercial real estate.

“I was initially drawn into real estate because I had always been interested in real estate ownership as an investment alternative or compliment. While this aspect of commercial real estate still interests me, I found myself gravitating toward local entrepreneurs and businesses. Most businesses lease their space, which when you start up makes a lot of sense, but as your business grows and expands many owners begin looking at the benefits of real estate ownership, and building additional equity for the future”

Quint and Kim met in Lake Tahoe while skiing and have carried that passion with them to Washington. They have two children named Sierra and Simon, who will be in fourth grade and starting kindergarten next year, respectively. They share an awe and respect for the untouched natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and fill most of their family time by camping, fishing, or going to the mountains.

“Out here it’s still so untapped and untouched. I love how wild and free Washington is, up here, the world really is your oyster.”

Commercial real estate offers a bit more of a flexible schedule for the Newells and affords them more time to be together. Quint and Kim keep busy in this stage of life, which adds to the appreciation that Quint has to his career.  For Quint, it‚Äôs easy to get caught up in the fervor of daily activities, but it‚Äôs much more important for him to slow down and appreciate the moment.
