Meet Anjee Ake. She grew up in Indiana but always knew she wouldn‚Äôt stay there. She came to Olympia Washington with her husband of 6 years, after the two decided to leave Indiana to start a new life. At first, they moved to Southern California where Anjee worked at a winery, developing a lot of her skills in sales and working with people. They quickly moved to the Northwest, settling in Olympia to pursue a different kind of life after meeting Kathy Holt, who helped make the transition possible. After moving, Anjee discussed the possibilities of becoming a real estate agent. One thing led to another and Anjee finally started working in real estate, helping out Team Hjelm.

“Once Dave and I started dating, we both knew once we finished college we would get out of Indiana.”

In real estate, Anjee is able to lean on customer service and having open ears to clientele needs. Moving across the country has made her understanding of relocating so much better, allowing her to care that much more about her clients. Anjee recently had the birth of her first child, a beautiful baby girl Remy Grace who is 11 months. She’s excited to start this new phase in her life, raising a child, but also taking more control in her real estate career. Planting her roots and interacting with the community is really important to her.

“I’m at the point where I really want to focus and do more in real estate. I’m raising a child now so being more involved in the community is really important to me.”

Some of Anjee’s passions are simply talking with people, interacting with those among the community. Especially now that she is raising a child, she’s always out and about. Obviously, her interests are changing and developing, so Anjee plans on taking advantage of every new opportunity.
