Meet Larry Peterson, an Olympia native his entire life. He previously worked in the grocery business, owning and operating his family’s grocery store, Peterson’s Food Town, for over 30 years. Having this experience has molded Larry into a genuine people person that enjoys interacting with everybody from a one on one conversation to a simple hello. After Peterson’s Food Town, Larry decided to get into real estate, and has been a realtor for over 16 years. He believes real estate is the perfect fit for him because he gets to continue to build relationships with people, a passion that spawned from the grocery business.
“Real estate is similar to the grocery business in that you’re meeting new people every day. In our store we’d have 1500 people walk through the door, obviously I don’t see that many people now in real estate, but I do get to meet new people every week, sometimes every day which is perfect because I love talking to people.”
Larry lives out a life of honesty, integrity, and kindness that translates to genuine love for his community, and for the people he meets. He always has a smile on his face and will always greet you with a hello. It’s the little things that drive Larry to be the best person he can be and he wants nothing more than to live out his life in happiness and love.
“I want to have fun in life. I’m not driven by money, I’m not driven by anything like that. I want to enjoy my life, make some money to pay my bills, but I want to be smiling. All the time.”
Larry spends most of his free time either on his boat cruising around the bay, or on the golf course at the Olympia Golf and Country Club. If you’re ever out there, Larry will probably say hello, so give him a wave!
