Meet John Stormans

Greene Realty Group’s youngest real estate agent and a born and raised Olympian. Focused on tennis for the majority of his youth, John played at Saint Mary’s College for a year before transferring to Seattle University where he finished out his career. John has a degree in business management and also studied entrepreneurship, but when he realized he wasn’t as attracted to the Seattle business industry as he first thought, he returned to Olympia and got into real estate.

“I got a business degree and realized I didn’t want to work in downtown Seattle in some corporate job where I just thought I wasn’t going to get a lot out of it personally, and I wouldn’t make a big difference,” said John. “I knew I wanted to leave [Seattle], not even necessarily to Olympia, but I did when the opportunity presented itself to work at Greene Realty.”

John is energetic and enthusiastic about what he does, and he never stops working. Understanding that he’s not the most experienced agent at Greene, he listens and learns but makes an effort to stay true to who he is which translates into a fun loving, hardworking personality. He said the favorite part about being here in Olympia is the atmosphere.

“I like the creative vibe of Olympia specifically. It’s not as much of a rat race where you have to wear a suit and you have to be a certain way, there’s pressure to be a certain way that I really felt in Seattle and especially in the business school I was in. I don’t agree with that. I can be completely myself and that’s the best way for me to be successful. I think I can do that well in Olympia,” said John.

Look out for John when your shopping at Bayview and Ralphs Thriftway, his family’s business or at the Valley where he frequently plays tennis.
