A Greene Story | 8 | Realtors Volunteering in your Olympia Community
#GRGStory
As you’re out and about watching a little league baseball game, soccer practice, football game or spot a group of kids participating in a scouting activity, chances are some of those great volunteers are Realtors. Realtors across Thurston County participate in a community service day each year, painting homes, pulling weeds at a historical cemetery and volunteering at the food bank. Almost every office in Thurston County is giving back to the community in some way.
Realtors also give back. Greene Realty Group started the Greene Realty Giving fund in 2013, and throughout the year, each year since, nearly every agent and staff member in the office contributes to this fund. Greene Realty then gets the honor of choosing organizations in our community to donate to. The focus has been on military and veterans causes, children, and housing needs. It’s a wonderful way Greene realtors can make a difference, but many agents are a part of even more.
Greene Realty agents serve on many local boards such as; Parent Groups, Boys and Girls Club, Olympia School District Education Foundation and other non-profit board positions. You may even find some agents coaching volleyball, baseball and football. Giving back is a big part of the Greene Realty Group culture and is one that makes Greene Realty stand out.
Rach’l and Betty, Greene Realty Group agents, are actively involved with the community through West Olympia Rotary and Capital High School Parent Org and have spent countless hours volunteering at several West Olympia Schools over the past twenty-three years. They sponsor numerous non-profit groups and events and it’s amazing to see what they are able to do by being realtors. The ability to give back to this community with their time and money is so fulfilling. When deciding to switch to a new office eight years ago and having heard such amazing things about Greene Realty; their commitment to our community, not to mention the top-notch staff, professional photographer, marketing staff, thorough and ongoing training and the best in technology, It was clear that Betty had found her perfect match.
“I began my career as a Realtor twelve years ago, after spending a dozen years working at Garfield Elementary. I have loved the ability to work hard building a successful real estate career and was thrilled when my daughter Rach’l was moving back after spending eight years in Las Vegas earning her Master’s Degree, meeting her now husband and starting their family.”
“When deciding to move back home and figuring out her career move. I asked her to join me and told her she would know shortly if this was the career for her! I’m thrilled that it is! She is smart, hard working, patient, knowledgeable and wonderful to her clients.”
If you choose to work with them or another agent at Greene Realty Group, know that they will work hard for you through every part of your real estate process and understand that part of every commission they earn goes back to the community.
