A Greene Story | 3 | A Olympia Family That Cares

Kris Gulbranson might have the title of Transaction Coordinator at Greene Realty Group, but in actuality she is so much more. Kris is an invaluable asset to the office environment and adds to the positive culture that Greene is built upon. She’s also one of the most hardworking individuals at Greene, always helping other agents, and staff with planning, assistance and expertise. Needless to say that if she ever became ill, Greene would be there to help her out. This is exactly what happened about 5 years ago.
Just over 5 years ago Kris fell into a bout of health issues that required medical attention. About the same time, her husband was getting eye surgery. Both of them spent some time in the hospital recovering from surgeries. This left a huge strain on their family, and the state of their home. Weeds were growing out of control, plants were dying, and the house was simply a mess inside and out. Nothing could be done however given the state of Kris and her husband who at this point were home and recovering.
“We were unable to take care of the house, do any yard work, do anything for weeks.”
Meanwhile, the extended time off at work didn’t go unnoticed. With Kris in mind, Jim and a group of the office devised a plan one Thursday to help Kris and her family. The entire office would get together on Saturday and perform a total yard makeover, and home cleaning for Kris.
Kris and her family had absolutely no idea so one can imagine her surprise when on Saturday morning as she’s lying in bed, Jim and the rest of Greene Realty show up knocking at her door.
“Suddenly, all these cars start pulling in. They were bringing their own lawnmowers, weed-eaters, all their own equipment. They cleaned our house inside and out, did all the yard work, it was just amazing.”
Everyone at Greene pulled together and took their Saturday off to help take care of Kris and her home. It goes to show that Greene really is a family that cares about one another and cares about the community.
“It blew me away. They were there almost 7 hours just doing everything. I was walking around in tears because I was so overwhelmed, thanking people for helping. It was amazing.”
Greene Realty Group is a real estate agency but also a family, and a family that values one another, and values the community. When someone needs help, the entire family is there.
“You can work for a company and go and do your job and everything, but at Greene, people care about each other and that’s something you don’t always find at other places.”
