3 Great Places for Easter Egg Hunts in Olympia

As the spring season approaches, many families in Olympia start planning for the annual Easter egg hunt. Easter egg hunts are a popular tradition that brings the community together to celebrate the holiday and have fun outdoors. If you're looking for a great Easter egg hunt in Olympia, then you're in luck! Here are three of the best public Easter egg hunts near your neighborhood.

26th Annual Tumwater Easter Egg Dash

Saturday, April 8
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Tumwater High School

The city of Tumwater has been hosting this fun family egg hunt for the last 26 years and will take over the grassy fields of Tumwater High School to host hundreds of kids and celebrate Easter as a community.

Over 20,000 eggs will be hunted, filled with candy, toys, prize coupons, and more. The Easter Bunny will even be on hand for free family photos. The event is free to attend and starts promptly at 11:00 AM.

Egg Dash and Safety Day

Saturday, April 8
11:00 AM (sharp)
McLane-Black Lake Fire Department - Station 91

Every year, McLane-Black Lake Fire Department staff put on a large Easter Egg hunt on the grounds of Station 91. Hundreds of kids descend on the large station, which conveniently separates different egg-hunting areas by age, ensuring the little ones don't get elbowed out by the bigger kids.

After the happy hunting concludes, the department hosts a special "Safety Day" in the station's bay. Kids can get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny while learning about fire safety and getting free access to the fire trucks.

Easter Egg Dash

Sunday, April 9
1:00 PM
Olympia High School

Olympia Lodge #1 has been hosting a special Easter egg hunt for years and is excited to present this year's dash at Olympia High School. The volunteers have been working tirelessly, stuffing thousands of eggs with fruit snacks, candies, and other prizes. There will even be a "Golden Ticket" egg that awards its owner with a sweet prize.

The hunt is also broken down by age group, allowing for a great time to be had by everyone in your family.
